Why inclusion is integral to reskilling Britain and our long term recovery

Session Content

While the impact of Covid-19 continues to unfold and the reskilling agenda emerges as a critical solution to economic recovery, there is a growing risk that the principles of inclusion, diversity and social justice will become diluted in the rush to implement initiatives and avoid mass unemployment. Disadvantaged groups will fall further down the ladder as unemployment rates swell, progression at all ages may stagnate, and the long terms effects on youth unemployment and disenfranchised adult workers will have far reaching consequences. How best can we ensure a balanced and inclusive approach to reskilling and job opportunities across all regions and UK nations?
