Co Hosts: Dr Deirdre Hughes OBE, Founding Director & Dr Chris Percy, Senior Associate with guest contributions from The Greater London Authority and George-Kearney Bambridge, CEO of Envision, a youth charity in the UK dedicated to empowering young people from less advantaged backgrounds to develop essential skills.

Aim: This international, free webinar will share findings from two contrasting yet complementary careers initiatives, along with related research insights. The focus is on:

  1. The Greater London Authority’s London Careers Programme and how it is supports the GLA’s wider strategic priorities; and 
  2. Envision, a charitable organisation based in the East Midlands’ region of England, working in Bristol, Birmingham, the Black Country, and London, empowering under-represented young people to develop the essential skills and confidence they need to succeed.

dmh associates has conducted research and impact assessments on both initiatives, with contributors offering valuable learning for those working in education, careers, community organisations, policy, youth and adult career development.

Objectives:

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  1. Reflect on the changing careers landscape, both in England and in their own context;
  2. Explore the opportunities and challenges associated with implementation and ongoing development of these two major initiatives;
  3. Learn about key findings, including colloration and insights on return on investment (ROI);
  4. Identify effective strategies for achieving positive impact in a dynamic careers environment.

George-Kearney Bambridge, CEO of Envision assumed the role in 2025, following six years of leadership within the organisation. She has led strategic partnership development, bringing together schools, corporate partners, and funders to expand the charity’s reach and deepen its impact across London, Bristol, and the West Midlands.

Prior to joining Envision, George was an Outreach Manager at Aston University and worked with social mobility charity, The Access Project. Her career has been consistently driven by a commitment to young people, with a focus on enabling young people from underrepresented communities to access meaningful opportunities and build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.
