This Erasmus+ KA2 – Strategic Partnerships initiative (2014-2017) – Project Number 2014-1-IT02- KA200-004105 programme focused specifically on career management skills and produced various practical resources including an international literature review – http://www.leaderproject.eu/project-resources/final-conference.html

Career management skills (CMS) are competencies which help individuals to identify their existing skills, develop career learning goals and take action to enhance their careers.

To enable careers professionals and other educators to help people to develop their career management skills a number of countries have developed CMS frameworks. These frameworks provide a way to define the skills and attitudes which support individuals to effectively manage their careers and to progress through life.

The LEADER Framework for Careers organises these skills under five headings.

You can find the CMS framework in different languages: Greek, Romanian, Spanish and Turkish.

A really good practical resource if you want to find out more about background to the topic and different CMS approaches.
