This paper, commissioned by members of the Strategic Transport Apprenticeship Taskforce (STAT), sets out current trends in the higher education landscape, alongside business challenges and opportunities in supporting the delivery of the Transport Infrastructure Skills Strategy (TISS).1
It draws on evidence provided by higher education (HE) and business leaders on key developments, challenges and opportunities that lie ahead
to strengthen the talent pipeline within and across the UK transport industry.
