Career management skills (CMS) are competencies which help individuals to identify their existing skills, develop career learning goals and take action to enhance their careers.

These frameworks provide a way to define the skills and attitudes which support individuals to effectively manage their careers and to progress through life.
The LEADER Framework for Careers organises these skills under five headings.
